Bridge & Overpass Low Clearance

I have a 2018 Pinnacle 38REFS. With Maxx vent covers and AC's, my height is at or near 13'6". I have the Trucker's Atlas that gives low clearances in each state, but I am looking for an app or program that is accurate to notify of any upcoming low clearance on my route before getting too close. I have researched several RV navigation tools such as Trip Wizard, CoPilot GPS, Waze, Garmini RV, and others.

I tow with a 2017 Ram 3500 w/the Garmin 8.4 Navigation. I was hoping to find a program to download into my vehicle nav that would add the low clearances to the map along my route. I saw informatioin about a program on the lowclearance.com website called Route 1 on another forum that could be downloaded into a Garmin GPS. I was hoping I could download this into my vehicles nav system since it is made by Garmin also.

Has anyone on this forum done this or do you have any information about the Route 1 progam? If not, I am open for suggestions about a quality program that provides low clearances along a route.

Thanks in advance.

I have not seen a program that can be downloaded into your truck GPS system. Might be because I have never looked. lol I have a Garmin RV 770 that allows you to put the dimensions of your RV into the system so it can route you around low bridges and other RV road hazards.

X2. I’ve been running the Garmin RV760LMT for six years now and it’s always steered me clear of low obstacles, road hazards, etc.

Thanks for the info.....I read where the Route 1 can be downloaded into Garmin units that provide only 1500-2000 low clearances and add up to 7000 points of low clearance.

I just looked up that Route 1 website. Looks interesting. I'm going to have to do some more research on it.

Allstays has low clearances on their app. I can’t speak to how accurate or update frequency, but I give it a look when I’m off the Interstates.

I wonder if the Route 1 POI will work on the RV770? It's not listed on their compatibility chart.

We too are at 13' 6" and have looked into this too...

In all of our research, there is NOTHING available that is getting updated information about bridge construction that lowers a bridge height. You need to go and look at the DOT notifications on each state you travel and search for anything marked as posted for Restrictions. We have been caught twice with a low bridge and had to back up and turn around. Once in Utah in Green River, Second on Bear River Dr in Evanston WY.
