Bubble/loose edge on roof

We have a 2011 31.5RLTS and found a bubble on the right front portion of the roof (about 4"X 7") approximately 1' in from the side. Jayco says they won't do anything unless there is failure (bubble) of 10% or more of the roof. Nice lady at Customer Service but she was adamant that was the policy. The roof material is also "loose" where it goes over the side edge immediatley adjacent to the bubble and they have agreed to fix that. Needless to say we are still talking to Jayco about the bubble.

In the past, Jayco has had a good reputation which is one of the reasons we purchased this 5th wheel. We sold a bulletproof Arctic Fox to get this floorplan but the issues we have experienced take a whole page to list. I have to say that the dealer has been great and they have fixed all the other issues even though it caused a couple months of downtime.

Got any pics? Unless the roof material isn't compromised I'm not sure I'd worry too much about it...but that depends on how big or what you mean by a 'bubble'. Will condensation be an issue under the roofing material?

With Trailers, you get what you pay for, unfortunately...and sometimes the dealer charges way more than the trailer's worth. I don't think Jayco's QC issues are much different than any other trailer within the same price range..competition is pretty fierce in the RV business (imo). I've been generally pleased with the warranty, even given the silly issues we've dealt with on ours; not so happy with the dealer, however...

I would take pics and then take it to the dealer. If it is a warranty item get it recorded and then take it in during the season you don't need it.

Actually, the dealer took pics and sent it to Jayco. The bubble is not that large at about 4"x7'' but it is only a foot away from the edge of the roof where the rubber is "loose" for about 14". The dealer thinks it should all be fixed, but so far Jayco is only going for the loose edge repair. Probably, the bubble would not be a big deal, but being so close to the loose edge makes one wonder what may develop down the road.
