Bugs/Spiders/Crud
I have been full timing for the past 11 months in my Designer and it has been and continues to be trouble free. I am amazed really. One thing I do religiously the first of every month (I have my smart phone programmed to remind me) is to switch the refrigerator to propane, the water heater to propane, and to run the generator under load for 1 hour. I leave the propane appliances on propane for 24 hours and make sure I either wash laundry or shower a time or two to exercise the water heater. I want everything to work on propane when needed and the generator to not gum up. It is a gasoline model and I do have stabilizer in the fuel as well.
Yesterday, I know it wasn't the first of the month but my grandchildren were visiting, everything worked fine except the water heater would not light. It was so hot yesterday outside I deferred working on it until this morning. I took an air hose and blew out the burner area and venturi as well as the propane jet. Guess what? It works fine now.
All is well again.
