Buying an Eagle 321RSTS

They make some spray call dry silicone sprays I would go for the one that is made for the seals. I buy mines from CampWorld and try to do it twice or year or at least once they also have the spray for the gears I do that the same time.

I know that I only have 2 batteries, I always stay at a park or a resort I think that if a person do any boondocking camping they would need 4 so I guess that it's all depend on your need. Two 12v batteries is more than enough for me and for what I do.

I added 2 6v, left the 2 12v with a A, B, Both, None switch. They fit fine on the top shelf. (Don’t use both)Just installed them last month, will probably take out the 12v and add 2 more 6v. That will be a little tight. I would like to put them all on one shelf with a slide out drawer to check the water easier.

I may be due for new batteries sooner than later. Picked mine up from storage today and I was at 9V per the One Control App. This was with the cutoff turned off, the breaker popped. Had to keep the truck plugged in for for a short bit just to lower the gear a little to load it on the truck. It’s home now and plugged in while the fridge cools off. We’ll see what happens tomorrow on a 3hr drive with the residential fridge.

If you are not charging the batteries they will drop over time on their own. It can take a couple months. Beware of the propane/carbon monoxide sensor. About 2 weeks it will drain a 12 volt battery to dead. If you are storing trailer more than a week at a time I would suggest to disconnect the negative battery terminal. That battery master switch does not shut everything off.
Ours does not disconnect the levelling jacks from the battery.
Just my 1/2cent of experience.

The co detector wasn’t lit up. Maybe something else got. In addition to the cutoff, I popped the breaker at the positive connection and thought that would fully stop any flow from the batts.

Breaker just shuts down the converter. You would have to pull the 12volt fuses like I said ours is not wired completely to the 12 volt master disconnect the way you would think. I may add a true 12 volt disconnect myself for winter storage at the battery bay

That's a good idea, I would think that even when you turn off the disconnect switch it will cut everything off, thanks.

For those looking to pull one of these with a pre 2020 3/4 ton, I hit the scales on my way out of town to see where I was at. Myself, the wife, kiddo and big dog. Had a couple nights worth of firewood and 1/2 of the fresh tank. Maybe.

I’m obviously over MGVWR. I planned on that, and my estimates pre purchase were pretty accurate. I started out with Timbrens. They were way to harsh. I moved to Sumo springs. The 1500lb black ones. I have a very nice ride now, and stability is still there. Here’s the numbers. I’m under all the axle and tire ratings. Rear axle....not by much.

Just wanted to offer this up for those thinking of going this route. For me it works. Already owning this truck, I don’t think I’d spend the money to trade for a 1 ton SRW to make the numbers work better, but a DRW would for sure be nicer and worth it if my garage and driveway would allow for it. Like diesel vs gas. This works, but the other would be better.

I went ahead with two Duracell 6v. My group 24 12v’s were toast. Only 2 months old. I’m not even going to try and deal with the dealer on this. I’ll go to four someday. 2 should be sufficient for long drives.

Great, and I agree, after I left from the campsite I went to put my setup on the scale so what do you think and this is with everything that we take I only had about 1/3 fresh water and that's it.

Mines is a little different from your TXLoser. So can you explain this to me I think I know but I want to be sure?

You definitely run a bit heavier than me. Looks like the your truck GVW came in at 11780. That water is heavy, but I thought it was behind the rear axle, so in theory it wouldn’t add much to truck weight.

I'm kind of new to this whole thing but here is the weight without the 5th wheel but I haven't taken out the hitch so add that in.

Sometimes it better not to know what’s on the other side of the wall. Will be interesting should I ever have a loose fitting behind my wet bay or on my water pump.

Not sure if I already posted this, but here is the BMPro Control module on my 321RSTS. This area is fairly neat and orderly, but I have some tidying to do next to the wet bay.
