Buying new 5th wheel

My wife and I are going to sign papers to have a 2018 325BHQS ordered for us tomorrow, we where originally going to get a 2017 but I was informed tonight that the only 2017's are the ones on the lot, all orders are for 2018's. With that being said, does anyone know what the difference is, besides the '18 being $1400 msrp more. I just want to make sure the options we want are still available or if there are some new options that we may want. Thanks in advance.

Why not just wait for 2018 info to be published. If not what you want you can probably find a 2017 that would work for you.

Dealer said that all the items listed as standard in '17 will be on my '18. I contacted the dealer and told him I want to get all the differences in writing before we sign anything. I was more hopeful that someone on here had some more information before I went to the dealer in the am. That link you posted is about $15,000 more than what I'm paying for the '18, dealer did say even though the '18 is $1400 more than the '17 he was willing to keep the price the same.

In the past I have requested and received a data sheet from Jayco listing the model year changes. Try emailing customer service at Jayco.

Thanks for the replys guys, I'm going to be getting a b&w companion hitch to tow with, looked at the pullrite, but I didn't like the way it hooks up(straight on and level only). I have a '12 megacab Cummins I'll be towing with, one thing I'm on the fence about is whether or not I will need air bags to help level the truck or if it will sit fine without them. Any advice on that would be great, even if someone had experience with air bags vs. helper springs.

Congratulations on the new 5er and welcome!

If your RAM is the 2500 with rear coils you'll probably want air bags. I added them on mine and they made a world of difference - leveling and ride quality.

I looked up you camper weight and it seems to be ~2000 LBS total weight and ~400 LBS hitch weight lighter. I have leaf springs, they went to coils in '14, but seeing as you added them to your truck, I will definitely be addding them to mine than lol. My father has a '16 6.4L Ram 2500 and loves the way it tows his Cougar it barely squats his truck but is also a lot lighter than the trailer I'm getting.

I was talking to Matt Fisher @ Jayco the other day. After talking with a couple other contacts at Jayco I have acquired over the years with owning 5 Jayco's and Picking up our 6th over the weekend of March 20th a leftover 2016 Jayco North Point 341RLTS. I was told he was the person I wanted to talk to as far as new 2018 Floor plans, changes, etc,. I was asking him about the North Point and Pinnacle's, and any new floor plans or what was changing. I was told that they really did not have any information available yet, I did find out that the North Point 315RLTS was going to be produced for 2018, and that they were still concentrating on over 40ft 5th wheels in this lineup. I specifically asked about any new floor plans 40 ft or under seeing that our campground has a max length of 40 ft period.

With that being said I would have to think that the information should be coming out real soon as the last run of 2017 Jayco North Point 315RLTS orders had to be in by last Monday. Anything after that would be a 2018

That's good info, originally we wanted the Open Range because they had a 5th wheel with a similar floor plan that was 36' 10" which was perfect, but I was told they stopped taking orders on them 4 weeks ago and the only on east of the Mississippi was at a camping world, I refuse to buy from the, so now we are getting a larger camper 38' 10". I wish they made more floor plans that were 35'-37', but it is what it is. From what our dealer said, the first run '18's will be the same as the '17's(options wise) only thing that will be different is the interior colors(if they change at all). I will be finding out soon, we're getting ready to go down to the dealer. If there are any changes I'll post up what I find.

Papers signed, nothing new for the '18 and colors will be different but we will have to wait until Monday to pick that out. Should be here last week of May or 1st week of June.
