Can you use Ground Control 3-0 to raise wheels to grease?

Since occasionally my auto-leveling ends up with a couple wheels off the ground if I'm not blocked right, Is it possible to go in to manual and lower one side and temporarily raise one side so that I can more easily lube the wet bolts, and give the wheels a spin to grease a bit. (Trailer is quite new and not due for a full bearing packing etc.

I did with my Montana with no issues although they advise against it. I raised it maybe a half inch off the asphalt and that was it. Took me mere minutes so it wasn't up long. Not sure what Jayco would recommend.

When I grease my FW, I level the FW with the the ground control jacks. I then put my bottle jack under one axle at the spring hanger and remove one tire at a time. I would not trust raising it with the ground control and raising all 4 wheels off the ground.

I do the same. Leveling the trailer does relieve some weight, and a small bottle jack works well to lift the axle and wheel assmbly.

That's how I do it.
Also, if I auto-level at a campground and a tire comes off the ground, I'll lift it slightly with the manual control until I can just slip a board under the loose tire or tires, then auto-level again.

Can you vs should you. Urban legend states this was never a problem until Jayco went under new ownership with a new legal team. Would I lift all four wheels at once? Absolutely not. Would I lift one side at a time? I do it all the time to service wet bolts, bearing, breaks and tires and I have suffered no ill effects. Be careful that the controls do not sense an out of limit for excessive lean when lifting one side at a time. If you experience a flat along the highway, I feel the ease of jacking the unit this way presents less risk than jacking a tire on the side of the road. Another helpful item for changing a tire is one of the small harbor freight manually inflatable pillows (approximately 6 X 6) that you can use to lift the tire the last inch place it on the hub.

I do with my Pinnacle. Just enough to take most of the weight off the axle, get a jack under the frame for safety, and use another jack to raise the tire off the ground. But this is for greasing and bearing maintenance. It's not recommended, but personally I'd have no problems changing a tire with the leveling system, but that's my choice.


Side note- by using the EZ lube axle grease fittings, even if done as instructed, it's likely grease will be pushed out past the rear seal lip and into your brakes. Bought a used 5er, one drum was greased. I EZ lubed my Pinnacle first time last fall before a trip, and this summer during a brake / bearing check / repack I discovered I greased one of 4 drums. I'll never use it again, I will always hand pack them.
