Question Carefree awning issue

I know this is going to seem like two dumb questions. I have a Jayco 351 SKTS fifth wheel with a carefree of Colorado awning. The best I can tell without having my manual is that it is a Travl'er model. For the life of me I cannot figure out the right way to add a twin track. I have a track line for lack of better words but I cannot slip in anything from either end. The motor housing on the ends prevent me from slipping anything in. Do you just pop in the twin track, I am always fearful of forcing something or doing something that does not seem right. Also is there a way to lower that awning so I don't have to pull out a ladder every time. Seems time like this process should be easier that it appears.

Thanks in advance
Robin

I haven't tried it but looking at mine, I could rotate the end roller to expose the vacant slot, then slide a screen or clips in. I always hag stuff on my old rig with manual awning. I have gotten used to not having anything on it, Whatever was there IMO would have to be able to roll up, in case the wind came up.

Lots of ideas on anchoring the thing down.

I just decided I could live without all that stuff hanging on my awning.

I agree with Norty. Open the awning in the usual manner and then grab the roller with your hands to twist it a inch or two to expose the hole. I too have stopped hanging stuff of the awning. Will probably hang led lights off the bottom of the drain track.
