Ceiling Fan

Hello Everyone, H-Man here!
My new Fifth Wheel, 2020 319MLOK, comes with a ceiling fan.
This ceiling fan is really decoration? It doesn't blow any air!
I turned the switch to make it turn the opposite direction, and nothing!
I think the quality is definitely not the best. The blades are almost straight, so no air is blowing.
Any suggestions? Maybe a new ceiling fan from a hardware store?

Without seeing how the blades are attached can't say for sure. But I would look at maybe a rubber grommet or washer under one side to give the blade some pitch to move some air.

The ceiling fan in my 321RSTS is the same, it hardly moves any air. I have thought about swapping it out for a fan from Lowes but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I would love to hear if someone else has made the change and how it turned out.

Go buy a hunter fan from HD or Lowe’s and replace it. It’s been done many times before. I did it to my north point 4 years ago

Ours works fine. And there is definitely a tilt in the blades. It runs almost constantly when we are in the RV. Moves plenty of air. Not sure if they changed between manufacturing runs or not, but no complaints here.

Ours works fine. If you replace it make sure the replacement has the same blade side for proper clearance. We have to be sure and tighten all screws up as the will loosen up from travel over time.

Norty take each screw out and put blue loctite on them and you won’t have to keep checking them.

Does anyone here have a 12 V fan? I assume those are not sold at hardware stores. I'm considering an install above the bed for summer camping but curious if anyone has done that and if so what the amp draw is for yours.

Have thought about changing out that ceiling fan with a MaxxAir or Fantasitc Fan?

That would mean cutting through the roof which many owners are reluctant to do, especially on a new camper...

We have only used our ac once on this trip. Mostly we need heat since we are in camped at 8300 feet. I keep the fan on reverse and low speed and it is just enough to push the warm air down without creating a breeze. I used it some on a previous trip when it was hot and felt it was fine. Thanks for the tip for using thread goo.

The Maxair and Fantastic fans go in the existing 14 x 14 roof openings.

Mine doesn't move any air either and from what i understand its because they are to close to the ceiling and there is no air for them to move. The lower the blades are, the more air they will move.
I could be wrong of course. it wouldn't be the first time...
