Way to go Dan! I’m having a beer for you and also myself (that’d be two in this 103 deg heat down in our Big Bend destination) as this just in...The DW and I took the skills test at Alpine this morning and we both passed! -2 for me and -7 for her, so YEA! Not hard at all. One thing though, at one stop sign in a residential area, the female examiner said to go straight and turn right at the next corner, but there was a low hanging tree limb dead center ahead past the intersection about 11’ high and I said, “I’d appreciate it if I can turn right here instead to avoid collision as we are 13’4” height” and she obliged. She deducted 2 pts on that right turn, however, as I was not in a good position for the textbook right hand turn being 60’ long and still about 5’ from the right curb, so I had to swing out left a little and wide right turn into another neighborhood street to avoid the 377s wheels from running over the curb. I’ll take the 98 any day of the week! Out in this area, there was hardly no traffic to deal with so everyone here reading this is encouraged to go for it if your combined gvwr is over 26k. $11 bucks we’ll spent.

Glad to hear you both scored. Interesting deduction, I guess following instructions is more important than making good decisions. Wonder what one should do in the real world where there’s no “examiner” to tell you what to do.

Unless your towing that jeep behind.... I'm sure its GVW is more then 4K. But I do agree your a bit different then us with trailers, but the law doesn't distinguish trailer VS drivable car being towed.

Nope, my Gross COMBINED Weight Rating is 22,000
The 29MV's Gross VEHICLE Weight Rating is 14,500; the Grand Cherokee is 6,500; that puts me personally at 21,000 lbs (GVWR+GVWR).
I was considering a MH on a Ram 5500 chassis that would tow up to 20,000 lbs (or something like that). With the GVWR of that motorhome, if I towed my truck (10,000 lbs GVWR), that would have required the additional licensing.
