Cleaning roof on pinnacle

I have asked this question before, and was told all I need to use is spic and span. Do you use the powder form, and how is the best way to apply it to the roof, should it be mixed in water in a bucket or wet the roof and sprinkle the powder directly on the roof and then use the brush. Also after cleaning do you use a uv protector, and if so what do you reccomend. Also what is the roof material on the pinnacle

Powdered, with a brush, wet, sprinkle then scrub. Really no need for any UV stuff, won't hurt, but just extra work.

The rubber roof has UV protectant. Any aftermarket product is hog wash and unlikely to add any life expectancy to your roof. If it makes you feel better, you can add something. Your roof warranty will still be 12 years (unless the product voids your warranty) and your life expectancy is about 20 years.

I take the 12 year roof warranty with a big grain of salt. My Alpha Systems EPDM roof failed after 5 1/2 years service. Water was leaking through the membrane where the roof a/c dripped on it in multiple places under each a/c. What was the 12 year warranty going to pay? $227.00 total.

Look at my signature and you will see what I did vs another rubber roof.

I will never ever depend on any rubber roof to keep my rig dry except for the time it takes to have it covered up by RV Flex Armor. Yes, I would do this to a brand new rig before I ever moved in and consider the cost just part of the purchase price.

Caulk? What is that used for? Certainly not on my roof!

Ed, you are certainly an exception, not the rule here. The overwhelming majority of trailer owners have ZERO problems with their EPDM or TPO roof systems. In fact, your experience is the only one that I have ever heard of.

The majority of failures of roofing systems are from cuts or caulk issues. I sold my 18 year old camper about 2 years ago. Never once cleaned the roof, except for the edges to install Eternabond tape.
