You could put a dab of silicone on each end allowing it to dry before putting strain on it. I assume it's bouncing out of the cup? Are there clothes on it? Was it cut too short ? We have never had this issue but were in a TT not a 5er, would think the TT would bounce more than a TT but I could be wrong.

Put a small block screwed to the wall above it.

I screwed mine from the other side of the panels. If not then what Grumpy said above.

My wife came up with the idea of a piece of pipe insulation which is foam and split lengthwise to fit around water pipe to keep it hot. Maybe $2. I added a couple of zip ties. Works well unless you hit some terrible train tracks and the whole camper hops up in the air!

The pipe foam keeps the hangers from swaying and jumping off during most travel for us.

I had the same trouble. The wooden rod would bow under a load and the first time I hit a good bump apparently it bowed more and would come out of the short wooden holders. I went to Lowe's and got some metal holders and a galvanized rod the same size as the wooden rod. I don't remember whether they had a metal rod or whether I ended up going to the garden center and getting a metal fence post. I cut it to fit and put a screw in each end going through the holder into the rod. Never had a problem since.

Remove that cheap rod and replace with a 3/4" piece of rigid conduit.

I bought a second closet rod holder. I removed the open holder on the wall and replaced it with the closed closet rod holder. now there’s no way for the closet rod to pop out. I threw both open holders away, problem solved

wersqu, try this. I had to fix my closet rods when they fell off. this is a permanent fix I come up with. All weight of the rods is on the floor. Hope this helps. In the instructions it says 1x2's. The boards are actually 1x2 1/2".

Hey when I got my 315RLTS the clothes rods were an inch too short. Now I know why they left them on the floor during the walk through. I didn't think anything about them at the time who would have thought Jayco word have blown that too.

Hey Thomson, I didn't have that problem but my closet rod supports broke and both ended up on the floor along with the clothes on one of our trips. Not sure if the Northpoint closet rods are the same as the Pinnacle but my remedy for that should be close. You may have to modify a little if they are not the same. Try the link above on my previous post. Hope that helps.

Thanks. If they come down I'll use your idea. This time the Dealer replaced them under warranty.

Had the same problem in the 331, tried the zip ties with no luck. Figured the screw idea would end up splitting the holders. I ended up putting in a wire shelf with clothes rod. No problems since!

We have a 2018 NP with the same issue. We don't use the lower rod but I ended up going to Lowe's, bought a new rod, cut it to the properly length and have never had it come out.

I took everything out of my closet, cut a piece of 1/2" plywood on each side of the closet, mounted a REAL closet pole, no problems since. I had the same issue you did. What a pain that was.

We had the same problem. Took a dowel that was smaller in diameter and longer than the closet rod. Slipped it through the rod, rested it inside the mount in the closet and it never came out again.

I drilled holes through the heavier framing in the closet and mounted the rod holders with small diameter machine screws, washers and lock nuts. Also made a more durable center support. It’s holding up well for the past three years. Hope this helps.

Residential chain link top rail is the same diameter of 90% of the closet rods (available Lowe’s, HD) throw the wood ones away. If the cups on the wall are spinning you can put a second screw or remove and place double sided tape to the back side before reattaching.

I had the same problem. Finally got it resolved! I bought 1” round disc shaped hook & loop tape applied to each end of the rod then slower lowered into the brackets so not to pull off from tape sticking to each end. 1st thought doing this to one end would work but found I needed to apply to each end. Just traveled 1,000 miles from home for vacation in FL. & didn’t have the rod jump out of the brackets with all clothes on the floor of closet. Also, went with camper RV hangers that snap onto the road (Amazon) Everything perfectly hanging during our travel.
