Question Cold Temperatures

Before everyone starts attacking me about searching for previous posts. I have, and I am not 100% clear.

So this weekend we are going to see a few nights with temperates dipping into the mid 20s for about 2 hours or so. I have a 2020 377 RLBH with climate shield. I am going camping next weekend, and didn't want to do a full winterization. What I did do was open the low point drains, and empty the hot water heater. Is that enough, or do I really need to go and blow every line out? Someone told me that should be fine for a few days as that will allow expansion if needed. What are your thoughts?

Why not just set your thermostat to turn on the furnace about 50 degrees? Also open the cabinet doors under the sinks so the warmer air will circulate around the plumbing. I've done that the last 2 winters without any issues.

I also keep my water tank full and turn on the electric element in the water heater.

In theory, you should be fine. The pex tubing should be fine with a little water left in it. Being you do not know where any remaining water has accumulated, I get concerned will a fitting or valve break, due to water accumulation.

There is a lot of thermal mass in the 5ver. If your day time highs are going to be well above freezing, and it will dip down to the mid 20's for a few hours, you should be fine.

I can tell you from experience there are dips in the piping and there will be water left in places. When I blow my lines out, I get a couple extra cups of water out of my kitchen faucet. I certainly feel more comfortable spending the extra couple minutes blowing out my lines.

Its in a storage unit, not at my house or camp ground. So I am not sure if the batteries would even last for a few days keeping the DC running.

I wouldn't consider a short dip in the mid 20's and back up is a "hard freeze" and anything to be that concerned about. PEX is pretty forgiving and will expand. As Jagiven indicated the plastic parts would be of more concern but not with a sort term dip in temps and warm up. That's just my thought.
