Cold weather
Any camped in their north point with low temperatures in the 20’s? Can they handle that without freezing up?

We have been living in our North Point for almost 2 years just outside of Washington, DC. Routinely had temps in the teens last winter. Camper held up great - no issues. I did insulate and run heat tape on my drinking water hose. Other than that - the heat ducts kept everything warm

Camped in mine last winter down to 9 degrees with no furnace. Used the fireplace and electric heater and we stayed right around 70 inside. Only thing that froze was the water line to the residential fridge that is outside under the kitchen slide, I forgot to wrap it.

Did you use water in your fresh tank or is it better to have that empty.

Protocol for regular freezing temps is to use the fresh water tank so you only have to use the hose to refill and then store. The fresh tank should be protected from freezing by the furnace and or heat pads.

Thanks for information. Bad news made it to cold weather last night furnace worked then in the middle of the night stopped. Fuses are good, propane is flowing to stove and water heater but furnace won’t even start to kick on. Looks like I am booking up and heading south.

Did you try the switch on top of the furnace? Make sure furnace is off find switch on top of furnace and flip it. Then try again.

So It took me a while but I found the furnace and the switch. I turned it the other direction and the furnace seems to be working again. Is that switch a fuse or something? Just curious to why it would have turned off.

Look for the furnace exhaust on the outside of the trailer and the furnace will be behind that. May have to remove a panel in your storage compartment to access it. I made a video of where mine was below.

Okay looks like you got it. Great job! You may have to get that switch replaced now that it tripped. Think it is like a circuit breaker for the furnace, possibly safety switch. Do you have any vent blocked? Or is the return blocked for the furnace?

Mine has 1 under the step heading to my bedroom. Bunch of slits under on the step back wall.

Also make sure not if your heat ducts are blocked.

Got it. Thank you so much for your help. Did yours continue to trip after you reset it.

Mine did yes, others have not had an issue after flipping it back on. But I have heard the switch becomes weaker once it trips, so you may want to inquire on if it needs to be replaced. If you continue to have issues, you may need the circuit board in the furnace replaced. Stay warm!!
