Question Collapsing Portable Ladder for 5th Wheel

Just purchased a new North Point and I would like to carry a collapsing portable ladder in the front side storage. I would like to get a quality ladder, but not break the bank. I've seen some on Amazon for under a $100, but have some bad reviews for poor quality. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

We have the 7' a-frame ladder which can be bought at camping world and numerous other places. Folds into a 4"x4" square, and we carry it in one of the 5" fence posts under the rig. However, we've had this ladder in the front storage of the last fifth wheel and 2 other Motorhomes. It has held up well for us. If you're looking for some height, then may have to go with the telescoping set up. We just didn't want something that had to lean against the rig.

I bought one of these and it's great. I take it with us camping but have used it numerous times around the house. Amazon has other brands just like it for under $100.

Better to break the bank than your neck. A ladder is one place it's worth a few extra $ in my opinion.

I purchased the collapsible ladder from amazon linked above in 2014. I do understand your apprehension based on some of the reviews, but my experience has been positive. I am not a small man, 260 lbs, and I feel comfortable on this ladder. It used on just about every camping trip to sweep off my slide and inspect the roof.

Like BigJohnD I've had this 7' a-frame ladder from Camping World for years.

I carry it in the back bumper.

We carry this ladder. I need the extra strength since I'm not a small guy. We've had it for about 6 years in the basement of the 5er and use it often.

I found one of these in a dumpster at a cg a few years back. I opened it up and nothing appeared to be wrong with it. I left it next to the dumpster because I could not figure out why someone would throw away a good ladder?

I myself weigh about 240 pounds. Watch the weight capacity of the ladder you buy. Type II is only rated for 225 lbs. I like the one from Home Depot that is rated for 300 lbs.

I bought one of these. Works great. Price is right too. Came with a bag. I have a ladder on my 5er, so I would only use this at home.
