Command center question

I recently had my batteries out of the compartment, completely disconnected.
I went inside and checked the inverter status which showed 0 voltage, good. Then I looked at the command center panel which shows levels ,status etc.The Command center showed 5 bars on the battery status .What gives?

Its like a Tablet or cell phone. It has its own internal battery that will go dead eventually without main house batteries or shore power.
