Have 18 inches available in width...rest is easy. New plywood, supports..heavier lifts if appropriate.. and time..

Welcome to the forum! Not sure what all would be involved to swap out the beds. I guess that depends on which floor plan you own. If it's a queen island bed, I would think the swap would be pretty easy. You might have to put in larger pieces of plywood to support more area. If it's a floor plan like ours then it would be problematic. Which RV do you have and what model?

Welcome to the forum.

If the floorplan offered a choice of a king or queen bed, then it might not be too difficult to convert. Otherwise, IMO, the conversion could vary from somewhat easy to virtually impossible.

Oddly enough, we have a king and are reducing to a queen this summer for more walk around space in the bedroom. Its true, the grass is always greener on the other side, LOL! Space permitting, your mod should be pretty easy, good luck!

I've considered doing this. In my floorplan, it wouldn't be prohibitively difficult. I would lose the "walk-around" ability on that side of the bed, but I think I'm willing to give that up. Everything else is gravy. Just takes materials and time (I'm always short on the time).

Well, and DW says "no", so it remains at the bottom of a very long list of things to get approval for! LOL!!
