Converter

Just got a 2020 Jayco 30.5 ckts 5th wheel with marine/RV battery 12 volt. I want to update battery and looking at 6 volt bank or the battle born lithium’s. Does anyone know what converter is installed in this 5er? That will depend on what batteries I should go too. Jayco could not provide the model number of the Progressive converter they said was installed and I can’t locate it in the 5er to check the model number myself. Any help please.

It's part of the breaker panel and dc fuse panel. Will have a label saying that model.

I have the 30.5 CKTS and put 6 volt batteries in. I took the middle shelf out of the battery compartment and put 2 L16 430 ah six volts with auto watering system.
The stock converter did not do a good job of keeping batteries charged, I was barley getting 20 amps out of it. I installed a 3000 watt inverter charger with a 100 amp charger. Use the converter for backup. (If needed I leave breaker off)The stock converter works but if you dry camp and want to charge batteries correctly your going to need a better charger.

Hi, I went with the Aims inverter charger. If I had to do it all over again I would most definitely buy the GoPower system IC series. . I’ve installed several of them and the 50 amp 3000 watt is the way to go. Very impressed with these inverter chargers. Nothing wrong with the Aims system but had to split the ac panel and choose which circuits I wanted to run. With a true 50 amp system you get everything live when running the inverter.
