Cracking nose on my fiver

I own a 2014 27.5 BHS that I bought in 2015. I’ve had a handful of issues that were coveed under warranty including the entire rear wall being replaced and the nose gel coat burning off. I had that repainted under warranty 2 years ago. As I was winterizing it this season I noticed cracks in the paint on the nose. I returned to the painter and as he was removing the paint he realized it wasn’t a paint issue but the fiberglass cracking. I contacted Jayco with pictures and the story. After being elevated multiple time through management I received the news this week that Jayco would not be helping me out. This is my second Jayco and I upgraded from a TT to my fiver because of the support I always received from the company. This is disappointment at its highest. The money spent to have a complete failure of the product is disheartening.

Any ideas?? We all take pride in our rigs and this is going to cost me.

Thanks for reading.

Kyle

Sorry your having the problem and I can somewhat understand your frustration, but it is 5 yrs old. Also JAYCO does not make the caps they all come from a 3rd party.

Re-Paint it and use what we use in our shop. Flexible type paint for use on plastic bumpers or use regular type paint and trade it in on a new 5th wheel from another manufacturer.

Sorry to hear about your issue Kyle. I found those same cracks on mine 1 yr ago - still under warranty and they replaced the cap.

I had some gel coat cracks on my 2011. They repaired under warranty but I can still see them. The cracks are not in the glass, just the gel coat.

They don't bother me anymore. Purely cosmetic and not any worse than 5 years ago.
