Dangerously Low Plumbing
Sent this picture to my dealer to send to Jayco with the question: "Is this normal?" At only 6.5" off the ground, I think a disaster is awaiting. Some of the dips I've seen on the interstates while resurfacing could make it a close call. Anyone have their sewer pipe hanging this low?

That is very low. I have that problem on my 355; however, it's the rear two jacks, not the sewer pipe. I didn't want to put my last two snap pads on the back two legs cuz they're so low, about 7" from the ground. I've already heard them scraping near our house heading to the storage area and so afraid they're gonna break off. Your situation could possibly be even worse!

The axles on the Pinnacle are on top of the springs which I think makes the body lower to the ground. I also have a macerator which would also be wiped out with the plumbing. We'll see what Jayco has to say.

Yikes, mine’s 11 inches! Sewer connection ground clearance, that is. That’s parked leveled and un hitched. It’ll be be 10 days before I can check travel clearance when we leave Jekyll Island. -Angus

Angus, do you have the Sanicon System? I'm thinking that with that system, the plumbing will be slightly lower but not 6.5". I had the Sanicon System on my North Point and the plumbing was much higher.

This is the response the dealer received from Jayco:
"This is how they are mounted. On the macerator, there is a bracket that is adjustable. You might want to see if they able to move this up some and adjust the plumbing strap."
Obviously they are not very concerned about it being so low to the ground. Lifting the macerator is going to put some stress on the rigid plumbing. Oh well we bring it in on June 4th to see what they can do. At least it's documented with Jayco.

I bet I know the answer also. I am going out on my maiden voyage tomorrow night, I have a different rig but I will measure it to see how much clearance I have. Regular sewer hose connection on mine, no Sanicon or macerator.

Dargo, are you rear leveling jacks low to the ground? You have the 357, I have the 355 and my rear two jacks are about 6" from the ground. The sewer connection is higher.

I want to say from memory that they are higher, but I never measured them. I will also measure these for you tomorrow.

Actually from this picture the back and middle ones look rather low. Lower than the center of the axle.
