Decals!

Okay, am I being too picky?? It's hard to tell from the photo, but the "Pinnacle" decal is crooked by 1 inch. Measuring from the bottom of the window, the "e" is 1 inch lower than the "i". The other picture is a botched up match. It appears they used two pieces instead of one. Pretty frugal to say the least.

We found a slight mismatch on the same splice. Took six months to notice though.

That's a tough one. It would bug me every day, now that I noticed it. But weighing that against the pain of trying to get it fixed and I'd probably just live with it. Eventually you'll forget about it. IDK.

That would bug me to no end too, but like Dave said, probably easier to live with it than try to get it fixed. After reading some of the horror stories folks have had with their dealers it might come back worse...

My decal "Eagle HT" on the side of the trailer is also crooked about an inch. I had another problem with a decal on the front of the side cap that was peeling. Trailer was under warranty so I took it in and camping world and they fixed fixed it. About a year later the decal right next to the one that was fixed started to separate and the top part of the decal started to peel off. I believe this was cause by camping world when they remove the first decal with a heat gun. So then I took the trailer back four different times to have the decal fixed. They just couldn't seem to line up the decal right every time. I got very frustrated with them and decided to live with that decal before they really screwed up the trailer.
After that experience I decided not to have them mess with the "Eagle HT", just live with it. They may just have made it worse.

I'd have them send me a new decal, and install it myself.

I have a better solution... Do what I did... Remove all the crappy decals Jayco put on the unit, and also remove all the Jayco name decals (free advertising) they put all over the unit.

Go get a custom vinyl wrap done on the exterior. Problem solved, and no one will know what your unit actually is...

Give me a year or so and I'll get over it. I have this ritual that twice a day, morning and afternoon, I do a walk around checking for bird droppings etc. that I wipe off. I'll just shut my eyes when I pass those two spots...........I'm anal I know...........or just pride of ownership!

Is that a complete body wrap in the picture? If so what did that cost?

Yes, it's a complete wrap, didn't include the roof.

Cost was $3,800 and that included him taking off all the Redhawk and Jayco decals before installing the new wrap.

I really liked the floorplan and the interior, but hated the exterior design, so I had it wrapped even before we took it out for it's first voyage.

Here's another pic from the rear corner:

What's your favorite technique for removing decals?

I had the guy who did my wrap remove them on my rig before he wrapped it, but in the past, I've used a heat gun and a plastic scraper. I've also used a special rubber wheel I got from Amazon to remove pin stripes and small decals.

I’d just peel em off and consider it done! That’s what I did to mine!
