Defective Mattress in 2018 29.5 Bhds fifth wheel
I was wondering how many Jayco owners suffered through my issue. When i used my camper for the first multi-day trip I noticed the mattress was bad. After 2 consecutive night I had a 4 inch impression in the mattress. after 4 days I could not hug my wife in bed because I could turn and move over the hole was half the thickness of the mattress. I called Jayco and I was asked to open a service request with my dealer, which I did by the beginning of September. I just finally got a call that they are delivering the new mattress Thursday, 8 months after I opened the case. I wish my dealer was closer.....

RV mattress are typically poor. We got rid of ours before we used it, replaced it with a mattress more to our liking. Mattress are personal items, we are different some like soft others hard etc. I wish they just eliminated the mattress. If they replace the mattress with a like one are you really going to be happy?
Happy Camping !

RV mattresses are junk. I bought a good residential mattress years ago. I move it from trailer to trailer. It's in it's 3rd trailer now. Extremely common issue. When we buy a new trailer we swap the mattresses at the dealer. That way someone gets a used trailer with a brand new sealed in plastic junk bed. Lol

We are on our 3rd RV and all of the mattresses are terrible. We've replaced every one of them.

Our last trailer we had for 10 years and the mattress was fine. We used it 40 or more nights a years for the 10 years and it went to scrap with the trailer.

I had same issue got two nights and it was like sleeping on board. Went to local dealer and he got me a new and better mattress. He said he's seen this issue before. Tell your dealer he should get you a new one but tell him you don't want same ****ty one.

100% are bad. I don’t understand why they even bother putting the crappy mattress in the camper.

We were going to pull the mattress out of our 18 Pinnacle before we even used it but ended up taking a last minute 9 day trip and suffered through with what it came with. After the first night the wife woke up with a sore hip as she is a side sleeper. Stopped at a Walmart and got a foam egg crate type cover which got her so she wasn't sore in the morning but still no good for me. Home on Sunday, new bed ordered Monday, should be here end of this week so we can sleep in comfort going forward.
Bed in our last camper was awful too but we tried to tough it out for over a year. When we ended up replacing it we vowed to never wait again. Lessons learned...

There are 3 things in life you never go cheap on 1) Footware 2) Toilet paper & 3) a mattress. We’ve owned 3 Jayco’s and each mattress was just as bad. Just do yourself a favor, spend a couple hundred bucks on a replacement mattress and you will not regret it!

Yes, our 2017 5th had a horrible mattress. Yes, you could tell where I slept the next morning (I am only 205 lbs). With a few more trips, I slept in this new hole that I created. I claimed it as a warranty issue, and Jayco replaced with a different brand. It is better we have had it for 6 months or so.
Turn it in as a warranty. Once they replace, get a topper to help out.

We had the same problem on our 2017 HT. We got a $200 credit towards a new mattress that we bought ourselves. Perhaps their replacement will be a better quality than the damaged one. There have been so many complaints about the latest Jayco mattresses. We previously had a 2008 Jayco Superlite and the mattress was fine.
