Dinette Slide Knocking

I have the 377rlbh and today the dinette slide will not move. It is in but will not extend or retract it just thumps like a snare drum. I am afraid that my gears are shot but looking for any advise. I only have issues on weekends or holidays when no service centers are open. I need my rig for 2 weeks for work so hope to figure this out quick.

How long has it been closed? Could the seals be stuck to the side of the rig? Try pushing while someone hits the switch.

When you say "thumps like a snare drum", sounds like the clutch may be shot.

Well I got back to the CG tonight and found one other brave soul staying here in 30 degree weather. I asked him to help and we both pushed on the slide while holding the button and it went. I am thinking that I may have skipped a gear by coming in to far? I have tried retracting and extending it a few times and all seems to be well. Thank God for it would be a bear trying to get around the slide wall for the work week!

If it got jammed/stuck the clutch would slip the same as when it reaches it's limit.

Failure again I cannot get the slide to extend anymore even by giving it lots of love to push it out. My 4 year old camper is starting to show it mileage. I tried filling the clear tank and water went everywhere in the basement. I cannot see where the leak is coming from for the water is everywhere. I guess its time to spend lots $ on service
