Dishwasher

Has anyone ordered a North Point with a dishwasher installed or have you had one installed aftermarket. Is it a good idea? Does it function? Jayco 383FKWS.

I did not order it but I did put a Vesta Dishwasher in our North Point. We really enjoy having it.

When we ordered our 2019 Pinnacle I asked for a dishwasher but was told one was not available even though it was prepped for a dishwasher. I too have the Vesta. We use it everyday. It's better than any residential dishwasher we have had. Super quiet and does a great cleaning job. You will loose some cabinet space but IMHO it's worth it especially if you are FT.

What a coincidence!! We also ordered from Valley RV in Kent. I purchased the Vesta dishwasher and had them do the install. On my model, the only logical place to install it was under the sink. They had NO idea that doing that would eliminate my access to the water valves, one which feeds the fridge. They were surprised that those valves existed behind a removable panel under the sink. I insisted they fabricate an access panel to those valves. Here's some pics.

Wondered about the under sink water access😁 since ours is a front kitchen it will be front & center. Chuck Joss is visiting Jayco this month & he is planning on asking the question, is it doable.

Chuck is a great guy. If the North Point model you are considering comes with dishwasher prep, then it is definitely doable! Check the Jayco website for your particular model and see if it comes with dishwasher prep. I checked and it doesn't appear to come standard with dishwasher prep. That doesn't mean it can't be done.

Tom, here's the brochure and website of Dyers RV Parts where I purchased it. I paid $380 including shipping and no tax.

You are all full/part time spoiled!! Can I say clothes washer/dryer and dishwasher in the back of the pickup? HaHaHa, sorry just funnen, our trailer does not have those options or the room or weight capacity. There is always retirement and the lottery winnings. (HaHaHa!!) It would take both. Oh my word the toys I would have! Camp Pizza would be nice!
I love the options that are around now that were dreams a few years ago. The correct TV and the correct trailer, wow, what is out there now!

Most of the high end dishwashers do not use heating elements to dry the dishes anymore, including Bosch. The dishwasher heats the water to a very high temperature prior to rinsing which aids in the drying process. I have the Vesta in our TT and we turn it on before going to bed (can't hear it running) and when we get up in the AM they are completely dry. If you have a Furrion dishwasher then that explains it. Not trying to be sarcastic but anything with the name Furrion on it is mediocre at the best.
