Disk brake Upgrade

Hello All,

I have a 2016 Jayco Eagle 321rsts and I am looking at upgrading to disk brakes. I plan to do the install myself. From all of the videos I have looked at I do not think it will be that hard to do.

I have been talking to two different companies that offer complete kits. They are
performance trailer braking.com and stop your trailer.com.
They both look to be supplying the same equipment and are about $120 apart in price.
I am looking for two reports;
1. Who did you use and why?
2. Would you do the install yourself again?

Thank you for your help with this

My input may not be of much value to you because I'm not doing the installation but I went with PTB because their reputation seems to be very good. I didn't check the other place you mentioned as I actually had not heard of it. The installer is coming to my house on 2/3 so I will know more then. I didn't price anywhere else because I really wouldn't know what parts or tools I would need. It will cost more but some things in my world are better left to the professionals. Another reason is they are headquartered in Oklahoma and so am I.

If the parts are the same I would go with the least expensive.

I called Bill at https://stopyourtrailer.com/ today and ordered the disk brake upgrade for my camper today.
Bill sure made it all easy to order. Looking forward to getting it installed. Will have to wait for a while, the temp here this morning was -2.

I will try and take a few photo's and post them of the install
Thank you to all that sent me their input to my questions

Well I have the disk brakes done. Took me longer than I wanted due to my wife and I both having to have some surgery.
I did the install myself. It was not hard to do at all.

I took it out on the roads around my area today. I could not be more impressed with the improved braking!!
We have our first trip planned for the middle of June. Now when the deer jump in front of my truck and 5th wheel I will have a chance to slow down or stop before hitting the deer!

I recently took delivery of a 2021 Pinnacle 5th wheel and we ordered the hydraulic disk upgrade and could not be happier too, dramatic difference in how well the brakes work.

I had disc brakes done on my rig and it was a huge improvement too, although it turned out from the factory only one of four brakes was working.
