Do I need extended warranty?

Our purchase of an Eagle Premiere 321 rlts will be finalized this weekend. The question is do we need an extended warranty?
Our situation is different then most as we are parking our 5th wheel lakeside for the next three or four years .
I look forward to all your opinions

We just purchased a used Jayco and were offered an extended warranty for 4 years for $1450. A dollar a day you would say....but since we only camp around 3 weeks per year, now its $1450 for12 weeks camping during the four years. I kept my money in my pocket. I'm very technically able to tear down heavy equipment let alone a trailer. Biggest cost would be a fridge and if that craps out I'll get a 12volt compressor type unit and not an adsorbtion unit.

If it is a new unit there is a 2 year warranty on it anyhow. If things go wrong they will be covered under warranty . Most extended warranties I have read about have a co pay required of them. Also, you need to read the fine print for exclusions. I have never had a Major repair after the initial warranty period. And that has been over 5 5th wheels (all Jaycos) My advice is to keep your money.

Thanks guys...I was leaning this way as well. If we are not hauling the trailer all summer there is less wear and tear on the trailer. As well a lot of rv owners say most things fail within the first two years which would then be covered under manufactures warranty. Speaking of which I just realized most new warranties are only for the first twelve months but JAYCO is a twenty four month warranty which speaks volumes to me on how JAYCO stands behind their products!

If you decide to buy the warranty, the price for them are negotiable. The profit to the seller is quite large. ALWAYS read the fine print carefully.

We bought one on our 2010 and 2011, but decided against it on our 2014 375BHFS. Reason we decided against it was all the reasons mentioned here.

i bought it for ours. I laughed when he first quoted me the price. I could replace the A/C, Fridge, and microwave for the price he quoted me. I told him $600 or no deal. Should have gone lower, because he didn't even bat an eye at $600.
