Do you have to light the Insignia Stove

We are hoping to become Pinnacle Owners very soon. We are looking to order a new 36FBTS and my wife has a question about the Insignia Stove - does the oven have to be manually lit or does it have a self starter.

We currently have a Big Horn and you have to light the stove to use it and my wife refuses to put her hand inside the oven.

Let me know if I will get relief - thanks

My wife finally started lighting it herself when she realized she was already sticking her hand in to get out a hot dish. She did use an oven mitt the first couple times.

There is an ignitor built into the oven. Although the insignia stoves are residential style, there is an issue with the pilot light or propane flowto the oven at ignitor. You have to hold in it in for awhile In order to get the oven flame lit. Aside from that, our 31RLTS is amazing. Good luck.

We just picked up our new Pinnacle 36FBTS and to my wife's delight you can light the stove just like the other burners. Insigna model.

Excellent!

That is the one thing I do not like about our Atwood (??) stove. We have to be on our knees to light the oven.

I found recently that the igniter in my 2021 377RLBH with the Insignia residential stove doesn't work unless on shore power. It's beyond me why the igniter couldn't be tied in to the 12V system.

We are having an issue with the oven staying lit. have had for 5 months, seems to be getting worse. LOVE it when it works, very HOT but not so great when the pilot turns off.... working on it.

Your thermocouple might need to be adjusted, or replaced. They're inexpensive, and easily replaced. It's a painless place to start diagnosing the pilot.
