Does it get any worse!!!

So my FW that I had for about seven weeks has now been at the dealer for eight weeks while Jayco and Lippert decided who would pay for all new brakes. Now the good news. Parts arrived today but all brakes r left side so now two lefts are being sent back for two rights. So u r probably wondering why this is the good news. Well now comes the bad news. No one would confess but one of the porters moving an Rv hit my front cap. So now that has to be repaired and decals ordered. Dealer said it would be repaired and guaranteed. So what next!!!!

Ya u can say that. My slide problem on my last trip has not happened for the dealer. So the way my luck has been it will come back for my next trip. I am really hoping it all now goes away and smooth sailing from now on.

Man sounds like you have my luck,im not trying to 1 up you but my trailer was hit back in Aug by a drunk driver, temporary patch was done on front cap while parts were ordered and we used trailer til Nov. Dropped trailer off Jan 4th and still hasn't been at body shop, our front cap is fading so it was a issue with insurance and jayco, well while the trailer was in the yard waiting for parts a customer dropping off on the weekend backed into the trailer and broke the other side of my front cap.So now theres 3 different insurance companies argueing over whos paying to replace front cap,it was just gonna be some fiberglass repair and now its full replacement. At this rate im not gonna have a trailer til july it seems like

There was a story on this forum a couple years ago from a member who had he brand new 5er at a storage facility where they moved them in and out. While moving his it was dropped on the front stabilizers causing serious damage to the frame and sidewalls. I would say that is worse -- however IIRC correctly the storage place, or their insurance company, ended up buying him a brand new unit since the damage was to much to repair. I guess that might be a silver lining.

Found that post if by chance anyone was interested.

Definitely a silver lining, but what a PIA.

It can get a lot worse... you could have to pay for it yourself, you could have had a catastrophic failure... many other bad things could have happened.

It stinks, but its getting fixed under warranty and will be made right. Count your blessings.

I do not have a clue I just hope all is done. Dealer so far has been great letting me know what is going on but the finished product will tell. They and Jayco might of said it is ok for those wrinkles. I know to fix the side top and inside moldings of the slide would have to be removed and will it be reinstalled like factory? Just like the cap damage. I will ensure that is in writing and guaranteed to match the rest for life of Rv and if it fads they will redo. Pretty much all the front decals need to replaced and a good sized area painted. Be assured I will ensure it is right and that the fiberglass was not flexed and damaged. Why me!!!!

If your closet has the built in shelf on the back wall like the NorthPoint, it is just screwed in as one piece.
If you took it out the front cap is behind the insulation. You could then see how stressed the fibreglass got

My dealer is in Tampa. I know some have complained about this dealer but so far besides this accident I have been very pleased and would recommend. They really have stuff crammed in but they r expanding this summer. They r building a state of the art service center but for now just r doing warranty work. My service advisor has been fantastic with continues updates. The brake stuff was out of there hands and that was the hold up. But they wrote and sent pics to Jayco and Lippert and put forth a big effort to fight for me. I was dealing with camper world with my Coachman TT and they were horrible

My front closet is almost a walk in and cedar lined across the entire front. I will have to look if it can be easily removed. Any FBTS owners know since mine is at dealer?

It wouldn't surprise me if they built the cedar lined wall on a bench and screwed it in as one piece. It would sure save time to have a stack of those ready to go.

Went to look at the damage this Saturdsy. No damage to fiberglass just paint rubs, scratches and decals need to be fixed. Dealer said would be fixed like new and fully guaranteed. I feel better now that I looked at it but still never should of happened
