Eagle 31.5FBHS Ordered

Those that followed my other thread know that Kitty ordered the RV last Saturday. Thanks to all that gave input. Now I'm asking for additional input. The Dealer told us to expect delivery late March.

My question is: When I go to pick up the 5th wheel, what things should I give a close inspection too before I leave the dealer? What "check list" do I need? All suggestions will be appreciated.

Here is one PDI checklist, there are many available on the net. After doing a thorough walk through inspection I would also use the unit soon as possible to give all systems and appliances a good tryout.

Consider this thread as well before your first outing. Happy trails!

You may want to consider taking a video cam with you and having your DW/friend record the whole thing. That way, you can always go back to refresh yourself on some particular aspect of the PDI.

First of all, congradulations and welcome to the Jayco Family.

A good PDI checklist is important, but most important do not get rushed at the dealer, take as much time as needed and make sure you understand how everything works and all your questions are answered.

Make sure water tanks are full and run all systems.

When picked up our Pinnacle we spent about 3 hours on PDI and dealers service rep was great and explained everything. Found a few minor items inside that were taken care of right away.

Then after PDI was complete and we were hooking up to our truck, one of the front landing gear lock pins when pulled out to raise leg, fell out in my hand.
They replaced the assembly with a new unit.
Just goes to show, ya never know what you will find on a PDI.
