Eagle 365 BHS condensation issues

Anyone else notice condensation in the back bedroom entertainment console. I Removed the panel hiding the wires and heat duct underneath and found this area damp to the touch. The access hole going into the basement here is not insulated. Cold air from the basement / holding tank areas rush into this cabinet space. Anyone else noticing this type of issue?

Jayco follow up...

I spoke with a customer rep @ Jayco today; they agreed that this access hole (located behind a panel in the lower section of the rear entertainment console) should be covered. Not only to prevent condensation issues, but, to keep potential animals out as well.

Remove the three screws that hold this panel in place, so you can inspect this area. You should see a heat duct for the back bathroom and a group of wires passing from the wall into the basement / holding tanks. It is this pass-thru that should be insulated.

Camper 10

I have a 365 BHS in the shop getting warranty work completed. Who did you talk to at Jayco? I would like to call and have the dealer look at my console.

I'll get the contact info from my DW; what warranty issues are you having? I have had minor issues that I was able to correct. However, the latest issue (living room slide is stuck open and the gear drive is not responding) is one I will not be ably to fix. Furthermore, when I was checking the shear pins for the drive unit, I discovered a crudely cut hole (1 1/4") in the bottom of the heating duct. This definitely added to the moisture issue I was experiencing; the heat was trapped between the moisture barrier and the bottom skirting. Plus, I retrieved lots of construction debris from the ductwork. Overall quality is great, but, the attention to some detail work is definitely lacking in my opinion...

Camper 10

I love my 365 BHS. I had a 2004 Jayco 29 FBS. I had no problems with my 2004 camper. I bought my 365 BHS in October 2010. I have been camping four times and this is my second visit to the dealer. I agree with you, the quality to detail is very poor on my new camper. Reasons for warranty work.
1. Electrical brake wires under camper not hooked at factory.
2. Screw in back bathroom strike plate, not installed correctly, ruined bathroom door.
3. Electric jacks on front blowing fuses(5 fuses this camping trip).
4. Cabinet in master bath cracked from factory.
5. Poor air flow to back bedroom!!!!!
6. Water pump not pumping water.
7. Stereo cabinet door fell off, screws not installed at factory.
8. All outside bulbs burned out.
9. TV installed wrong from factory or dealer.
10. Kitchen sink faucet leaking from factory.
11. Water leaking in underbelly storage, clamps not tight on hoses for the values.
12. I have tightened and installed missing screws all over the camper.
13. Both air units loose from factory. Had to tighten all screws on both units.

Very poor factory quality and horrible dealer prep!. The camper is great for a family with chidren and has alot of room. I hope this is my last trip to the dealer.

Taylorj, I sent you a PM, but, I'll post here as well:

We purchased ours in August of 2010. We too had loose brake wires (poorly crimped allowing a wire to jiggle loose) - I corrected that during a trip to Maine. Also had finger tightened bolts for both AC units - I fixed that too.

I heard back from Jayco today concerning my slide; they are aware of this issue and will be sending me three new heavy duty motors (the front bedroom is a different gear driven system).

Also, while I was crawling around underneath, I noticed some rattling in the heat duct which is exposed in the belly compartment. I unscrewed the vent cover and used a shop vac that sucked out several large pieces of construction debris along with lots of wood / metal shavings. Try getting a mirror and looking down and back inside your heat duct and look for blockage.

I have not had any issues with my landing gear; nor any visible leaks from poorly fitted pipes. The weather is still cold here. Once it warms up, I plan on pulling off any and all access panels to take a long, hard, look. I have most of the belly skins off anyway, so, it won't be too much more. I'll share my findings with you.

I had lots of waterline leaks when I got my fiver. I cut out all the lines in the basement and routed them out of the way of things and used the Pex crimp rings that actually hold water. I don't know why they use the crimps that they do.

I am not near my unit. Anyone know if the 325BHS Eagle has the same problem?
