Maybe just adding shock absorbers on the trailer would help. Something to try.

Go on Morydes facebook page and message Nick. I run the Superglide with a Moryde pinbox and it was recommended I purchase a kit that limits the side to side movement of the Moryde box but not the forwards or back. Keep the slack adjustment up.
Also I found on our 319 if I run 80 psi on the 40 thru Arizona I'm bouncing like crazy...went to 65 and our ride improved immensely.

I-40 is sure awful in places. We go to Arizona in the winter and I've dropped clear down to 45mph to avoid destroying the camper sometimes.

Seems that most of the bouncing has been eliminated. Removing the air bags dropped the rear end an inch. These were bottomed out, BO. Inflating them did not cure the BO problem. it merely softened the blow. Next the Bilsteins 4600 series were installed. Those old 50k Ranchos were worn out. I should have replaced these earlier. I added fuel to the 5/8 full mark. No other changes since the last trip. The test ride was very smooth and the few transitions I encountered were quickly dampened.

Our shakedown run is coming up. Looking forward to the ride and make some pin weight, and tire pressure adjustments to fine tune the ride.

Sounds like you're gaining on it! Keep us posted on how things go. Inquiring minds want to know

Absolutely! The Silverado/Sierra 2500HD is a popular tug. And the plethora of ideas and information here is worth testing. I'm excited to get our rig on the road again.

I have more measurements to share soon.

With the FW at 8940, you want at least 1800 on the pin, 1900 would be even better.

Why such a large cargo box on the rear with so much storage already available in the FW?

Thanks for the tip. I'll be transferring fresh water (rear most) to the (forward most) grey tank for a pin weight increase.

That home made cargo box is sheet aluminum with a rubberized cover. We store a few blankets, mat and our three lawn chairs. Lightweight bulky things that take up too much room.

A few additional measurements. rear suspension travel (bump stop removed) unloaded is 5" measured at the bump stop pad. When loaded with the RV, this travel is reduced to 2". Thats pretty close so I'll have to add something to absorb the bigger bumps.

Go to eTrailer.com and look at a set of Timbrens to replace your bump stops. This will help with the problem you are having as well as giving you a nice ride and less squat in the truck. I put them on my F350 and they help the truck sit more level and give a nicer ride when towing. When not towing they don't touch and the truck is just like it was from the factory.
