Eagle ht 24RE

We purchased an eagle ht 24re with the rear pantry. While we love the room we have had nothing but problems with the door and shelves in the pantry. Everything is falling apart. The magnets that hold the door closed are being ripped out due to the constant opening and closing. Also due to the bouncing While driving. The shelves are loose and need to be resecured. Has anyone else had this problem.

We had an issue with the door opening with our pantry door on our 284bhok travel trailer. The door is similar to yours. They added a bungee cord, drilled two holes through the wood to secure it and wrap the cord around the handle to hold it in place during travel. This was Jaycos fix as the door had swung open during travel and caused damage.

Welcome Aboard!

I have not heard of this particular complaint yet, hopefully someone with your 5fver will chime in.

I will say, the rear wall of any TT or 5ver, really bonces alot. People with rear kitchens often complain about how much their stuff is in shambles when they get to their destination.

Was that fix from Jayco or something your dealer did?

My dealer did it after discussing with Jayco. Jayco is who provided the fix and bungee. It was covered under warranty. It opened during travel and damaged my slide out flooring.

In my 24RE, the shelves collapsed on the second trip,I had to add braces and screws to the facia of the shelves. There’s a lot of bounce in the rear of this fw.

We also had the same problem with the pantry shelves and had to repair them ourself because of living so far away from any repair facility. The shelves were just stapled together and were no match for the moving and bouncing of the 5th whl. Also same problem with pantry door magnet screws pulling out. Also pantry door doesn’t close all the way because of being out of alignment. When top magnet is touching and closed the bottom magnet is still 1” away from closing all the way.
