Eagle ht battery question

Sorry if this has been discussed, I didn't find anything searching.

One of the first mods we want to do is a pair of 6 volt batteries. I'm wondering how any other ht owners are setting up their batteries and what are you using for a box? The factory location on a 2017 is small.

I put 4-6v batteries in a box that I got from Walmart. I put it in the front storage compartment between the landing gear. Sealed the lid and ran a longer vent hose to the lid and drilled a drainage hole in the bottom of the storage container and the compartment floor to exhaust the gases. The old battery location now serves as a nice spot for the solar charge controller and battery quick connect for jumping or charging the kids power wheels, and Dads toys too

Thanks for the reply. I looked around today and didn't really find what I was looking for. I picked up some plywood, so I'm going to try my hand at making a box.

I removed the metal piece that made up the "battery box" and bought a box from Century Plastics for 4 6 volt batteries.
