Welcome to JOF

Fairly certain the Eagle HT slides are electric. My BIL's Eagle FW slides are electric.

I'm sure our FW guru's will come along and confirm.

The wardrobe slide is an electric one from Lippert that, after some work. has worked quite well for us. The other one is a standard electric slide and we haven't had any problems with it. We have a 2012 HT 26.5 RLS with the stand-alone dinette and have enjoyed it quite a bit so far. It is very easy to pull and park, takes no time at all, basically, to hook up and unhook at the campground. I talked the dealer into putting two batteries in ours and I think that helps when camping "dry" with no hookups. We pull ours with a 2012 GMC 2500HD D/A crew cab, short "standard" bed and the trailer has had a hitch welded onto it so we can take our boat with us when going camping and fishing. I have a few pictures of the "train" if you would like to see them. Email me at jalichty@bresnan.net and I'll send them to you.

We have a 2012 HT RLS 26.5 and have used it for two years now. Just spent 2 1/2 months in Florida living in the trailer and we really do enjoy it. I tow with a GMC Sierra 1500 and things seem to be going well. Slides and everything else have performed well.

My husband and I just purchased a 2011 HT 26.5 and will be towing with our 1/2 ton truck. I noticed you also tow with a 1/2 ton. How does your truck handle towing this rig? We take possession on April 19 and are anxious to go camping.

We also have e rated tires and airbags. Previously towed 2008 Keystone Cougar 278rks fifth wheel. Our new rig hitch weight a bit heavier with the new rig.

See Signature. Our 5th wheel has not been as trouble free as some are finding. Living room slide issues from the beginning. Fiberglass cap on front of unit has cracking taking place in the gel coat. Floor has loud squeaks. So on and So on. I fixed many small problems myself and will be taking it back to the dealer again this spring when I get home from our winter travels. The dealer has been great, its to bad he's dealing with a questionable product.
We enjoyed towing the unit on our winter travels, (AZ CA ID and then home). Its too bad quality is job one in the rv industry.
What ever you purchase, check it over and then check it over again!

So far, I have not had any issues with the truck. I do have a 6.0 gas engine. With this combo we have travelled mostly east coast between PA and FL but did go thru hills in western NC (near Asheville) and SW Virginia (on I-81).
