Eagle SuperLite 26.5 RLS

We are purchasing the fifth-wheel in the title on Friday. I am interested in hearing comments from owners of this or other lightweights, both pro and con, as to whether they are a decent trailer. We owned a Jayco Eagle 215SD for 18 years before deciding to purchase this fifth-wheel. Were very satisfied with the old trailer, hope to be so with the new one.

I have a 2011 30.5BHLT. Have had a couple items which required attention (more than I should have) BUT both Jayco and the dealer stepped up to the plate with no issue. The issues that I had were not terribly bad, just annoying.

I was investigating putting in a second air conditioner in the bedroom. I wrote to Jayco asking their advice, and it turns out that the vent is 100% ready for either ducted or non-ducted second air, the thermostat wire is even pre-run! It's the little things like that that make a difference for me.

I have the '09 28.5 Eagle Superlite 5W (will be traded in on a Pinnacle the end of Feb/). The only issues we have had with it was the black tank rinser leaked which was a warranty fix by the dealer. And I had to tighten the gas line connection to the refrig to keep the pilot lit when dry camping. Other than that it has been trouble free.

Good luck!!

Our 2012 Super Lite 29.5RKS came in from the factory 6 weeks ago and the only problem was the water siphoning out of the freshwater tank while driving.
it was an easy $10 fix.

We love it and would highly recommend the brand!

We purchased the 25.5 RKS in may of '10 with no problems. It has been a good unit after several long-distance trips

We purchased a 2011 Jayco Eagle Superlite HT 26.5RLS in April of last year and we absolutely love it! We had a pop up camper many years ago and then migrated back to tents. We haven't had any earth shattering problems beyond beginners learning curve. Enjoy your new toy!

tstark, glad to hear that. Have you pulled the FW very much yet? We will probably take two or three trips this summer and not very far, 400 miles round trip to go fishing and sightseeing. Anything a newbie slide-out owner should be aware of?

Sorry, just found this post. We went on a two week tour last summer with the camper. We had brake problems with the truck on the Blue Ridge Parkway but no problems with the camper itself. In fact, the trailer brakes helped us out of that jam, it was the only way we could stop! We have actually just come back from a week in Surf City, NC and the weather was perfect until the last day. Never really expected to get a bit of a suntan in February but I did! I noticed that the camper windows fogged up a couple of nights inside but the heater worked well and the weather was warm enough to dry out and ventilate the camper during the day. As far as the slideouts go, we make sure we have a 12+ft ladder to check above the slides for pine needles etc before we bring them in, does yours have awnings over the slides? That's on our wish list for this year's upgrades. Don't forget to wind down your antenna before bringing in the LR slide. I can't think of any other handy dandy tips at the moment. Happy trails!
