Electric rear stabilizer Jack

I am wondering what is being used as a lubricant on the threaded screw and pivot points of the electric stabilizer jack used on many trailers.
I have tried several different types of lube, and none of them seem to hold up for more than a couple of stabilizer jack up and down cycles. Then the squeaking and squealing starts again as the jacks are lowered and raised. Sure seems to me this type of operation is going to shorten the motor life.

Maybe try using some wheel bearing grease. It's thick and may last longer and work better for you.

NO......it collects dirt and grime.

Use a dry PTFE spray

Yeah, mine sounds like somebody was murdering pigs. I’m using the spray that Grumpy suggests and it helps greatly. I’ve had it thru half a dozen or so cycles and the lube has held up pretty well but I think it’s gonna need another shot soon. Grumpy is also correct about the grease.

Where do you apply the lube? Aren't the jacks sealed?

x2 Grumpy. I started using the PTFE spray on the door latch and wow, what a major difference in every other product I've used. Don't know about the WD-40 but I do like the CRC brand. And, for both slim-tech and slim-Track slides too.

WD40 type or better use Teflon spray on the treaded spindle. Grease will make it worse as it will attract dirt.
