I would suspect you would fry everything in your trailer if you had managed to McGyver a plug to go from a US 50amp RV cord to a UK 32amp socket.

More detail of what you did is needed
We haven't done anything and it's the reason our electircian here isn't touching anything, we don't understand the US system well enough.

The conversation was completed by a UK company who imports and converts US fifth wheels. They'd probably be able to tell me over the phone what the issue is but I forgort to bring their cell number and the office is closed today.

Hopefully this time tomorrow all will be well.

If you lost all AC in your rig, I guarantee you it isn't the GFCI!

The conversion would have to include a transformer of some sort connected somewhere?? To convert your UK 230/400v to North America 120/240v 60hz.
I suspect this transformer is where your problem is

That is our thought too, just wanted to check we weren't missing something very obvious.

Thanks to everyone for the input.

Ya... I wouldn't touch that either.
I would like to know how they have transformed the 50hz to 60hz for a reasonable cost.
I can't see how your televisions and battery charger would work properly.
I would think your AC and heat pump would over heat.

??? Keep us updated on your fix.
I, for one, am very interested on what has been done to your rig.

The way I read the OP maybe it is something as simple as you overloading and melting something in the shoreline plug. If you have power at the post then check the connections at the end of the power cord to see if you are getting power on the coach end of the power cord.

Eliminate the simple, obvious causes first. It could be as simple as a tripped GFCI, stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, and it means an outlet that can prevent electrical shock in wet locations such as bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor areas. A GFCI has two buttons: a test button and a reset button. Just like what I suggested for the breakers, push the test button and reset.

A tripped gfci isn't going to shut the ac power off in the WHOLE rig.
Just a few outlets.

A GFCI is a type of breaker, they're built into an outlet and will have 2 smallish buttons, test and reset. I would look near the kitchen and bath.

???
Can someone explain to me how a tripped GFCI is going to shut the shore power COMPLETELY OFF in a 50amp rig?
Heat pump off, micro off, electric water heater off?
