Eternabond length of trailer

Hello all,

So I am planning to undertake a big eternabond project. I know for sure I am going to do the front cap, back, and all roof cutouts and bought the 4" tan eternabond to do so.

However, I also purchased the 2" tan eternabond to do the length of the trailer where the roof membrane meets the gutter but it is currently out of stock. For some reason, Jayco used silicone for that seam, which of course does not adhere well to the roof membrane so it is separating the whole length. That leaves me with the options of cleaning the silicone off and putting non-leveling dicor or doing the eternabond. I am leaning towards the eternabond but am wondering if anyone here has done so in the same place and has any pictures to show the final look? I am mostly just worried that it will not look good. Any arguments against using the eternabond here?

Thanks.

It will work, but will not look as good as a new caulk joint with non sag. Be sure to remove all old caulk, clean with acetone, and cut a small tip on your tube of caulk.

mine wraps around the top and down 4 inches to the side seam. I patched it for a few years ago but was not to keen on how it looked. I ran the Eternabond patch onto the seam just to where the rubber seal is in it. It was ok but sorta stands out to much. My tear repair was 3 inches above it.

I don't know if I would want to do the whole side but my caulk is still in good shape after 8 years on the sides.
