Eternabond on TPO

All -

with my warranty period now past Im going to apply some eternabond to my roof seems. I've done this before, but on rubber roofs and not the TPO on my North Point. I understand the need to keep harsh chemicals limited while cleaning...im just wondering what some of y'all have used for this job on this roof material? In the past I used acetone applied to a rag to do the bulk cleaning followed by the eternaprime product. I've read some other threads on this here but they seem more rubber-roof centric.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I don't know what I have for roofing material. All I did was wash the roof well with Dawn dish soap. Let it dry, and applied Eternabond. Nothing more or less was done.

I used the acetone on a rag and a heavy roller worked good.
I have a FlexArmor roof now. It is zero maintenance.

I have no experience with applying to TPO surfaces. I would look on the mfg. website and youtube for some specific info.

I have TPO, and removed all the Dicor from the roof immediately after I purchased my trailer new. Replaced with Eternabond. I want to keep water out. I didn't care about the warranty, as it doesn't cover roof leaks at seams.

I used a plastic putty knife to remove the Dicor. Even old Dicor is easy to remove this way. You get 90% or more off, leaving a nicer surface for the Eternabond to lie flat.

I cleaned with Spic and Span, although Dawn or similar would be fine. Then used paper towels and acetone where I wanted it to adhere.

From everything I've read, primarily from Eternabond, the primer isn't really required unless you're applying on a cold day. The primer's expensive.

I followed the instructions from Eternabond, and advice found online to do my install. After two years outside, it still looks new.

Some people like to put Dicor sealant along the edges of the eternabond for a belt and suspenders approach. I figure if Eternabond works (and it does), then it's fine on it's own. If I add the Dicor, do I have to maintain the Dicor annually? Other than inspecting my roof several times a year, I now have no maintenance. If I was to see the Eternabond separating from the roof, I'd just replace the Eternabond. But, that's not happening.

All in all, replacing the Dicor with Eternabond is one of the easier upgrades you can do. A lot of bang for the buck.

I have a TPO (non-fleece) material. I used Eternabond on every roof seam (the entire perimeter). I used the Eternabond kit (cleaner, primer, and tape); it worked great! If you cannot afford FlexArmor or the like, Eternabond is your best call.

It actually will..., depends on the confirmed root cause of the leak.

My prior Eagle TT experienced moisture intrusion along the roof/entry wall seam, the root cause was related to assembly/product issues. I had a new roof, entry wall, and rear wall replaced under warranty.

I used the tan Eternabond tape then put a small bead of tan Dicor self-leveling around the tape's edges. This protects from dirt building up on the edges of the Eternabond tape. Keeps the tape looking clean.
