Expensive LED Light Fixture

Well, I went to the local Jayco dealer to purchase a replacement interior LED light fixture for our 24FBS and walked out with a new Jayco 26BHX Fifth Wheel....ouch! Honestly I have been wanting to upgrade for awhile now, I just had to convince the other half. So we pick it up in a couple of weeks. Have to get a slider hitch installed. Any other Fifth Wheel owners have any advice? It’ll be a new towing experience.

You will love the towing difference.
No sway at all with a FW.
Good luck backing up when you first get it, everything is backwards from a tag along!
Remember, always make WIDE turns with a FW. It does not follow the truck like a tag along. Turn like you are driving an 18 wheeler. Find a large empty parking lot and practice backing up. Allot of U tube videos also will help. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy!

Congratulations on the 'expensive light fixture upgrade'!

As RipinSC said, find a parking lot (maybe at Meijer's ) and practice backing up BEFORE you go camping. Fifth wheels are WAY different from TTs, some find them easier to back but it takes some practice.

Hah! Congrats! We had something similar happen. Stumbled in to an RV dealer to kick tires and kill time one afternoon while visiting family in central FLA. Walked out with the rig in our sig below. Then I had to go buy a truck in a hurry. Never driven a pickup before.

You'll do fine. We went to an empty parking lot with cones and practiced. Nearly took out a light pole, so yeah, TURN WIDE and watch the mirrors.

Let us know how it goes!

I think of it is making a square turn. I go out as far as I can into the intersection then make the turn, works well for me. Congratulations on your new purchase and I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it in no time.
