EZ Snap window shades

Does anyone have any experience with the EZ snap window shades? They are basically a snap on window shade/screen that blocks the UV rays and helps to keep the RV cooler.

While camping at the beach last week, the temps were in the 90's with 75% humidity and heat index over 100. There was no shade to speak of, we had our awnings out when we could but often we were forced to retract the awnings due to the strong ocean breeze. I believe my AC's were running as well as can be expected. Inside the trailer never got over 79 degrees but if I could have kept the awnings out, I may have been able to keep it to around 75. This is what got me thinking of adding the exterior shades to prevent the heat from getting into the rig in the first place. I know about reflectix, but I like looking out the windows

Here's a link to the product.

I've been thinking I need to get some kind of shade for mine. Going to spend 10 days in the Fla. Keys and I know it's gonna be hot. Order as soon as you can so you can let us know if they work.

My next trip is to the mountains where the temps will be much cooler than the beach

I'm certain someone in the JOF has them and posted about them. I searched, but no hits.

Nice! We are going to the mountains of West Texas this weekend. Looking forward to the same kind of temps during the day with low temps in the 60s at night. [emoji3]

Those look really awesome! I hate having the blinds closed.

Curious, do you have dual pane windows? Did your model offer an optional 3rd ac unit?

Earl

I have single pane windows and my model does not offer a 3rd AC option though I may look to add a third unit above the loft. Thanks for the idea. A potential new mod!

Any update on this? We're tired of blacking out the windows and using Reflectix to keep heat out and not being able to see out our windows. Really considering spending the money, but want to hear some feedback about heat reduction, quality and durability.

I used these... Even though they are designed for the rear window I put them on side windows with no problems.

Interesting. I like the idea, not sure I like screwing holes in the side of my camper.

Cut this to window size and it sticks by static cling. Works great and I am not drilling holes in my RV when I don't need to.
