Falling and can't get up

We are 70 and thinking about buying a 5th wheel next. We have always had TTs. I have always heard horror stories about falls. Any opinions??

Only comments we have heard. Folks like bumper pull campers for the reason of no interior steps! Thanks

Handrails possibly, but I don't think there is room for ramps. Ramps would take up almost twice as much space as stairs.

What is the reason your looking for a 5er? They do have larger cargo capacity and higher ceilings, but jayco TT have higher ceilings than most TT. May have to do some thinking as to why a 5er and does that outweigh the disadvantage of stairs.

Falling is always a concern as people get older. However, if you are in good physical condition I think it i pretty much a non-issue. A lot of other things have steps that are equally as high as a 5th wheel. For example, the outside steps on a TT or 5ver, the step getting up into a 4wd pickup, the front porch of your house, any steps in your house.
If you are not in good enough condition to navigate the steps in a 5th wheel, I would give serious consideration to going with a motor home.

Most 5ers have the bathroom door right at the top of the stairs. Because we both almost fell several times that is why we went with a tt when we upgraded. Also with the big eagles the floor plan is almost the same. We are happy with our decision.
