Just to follow up, I picked up my FW yesterday. The service dept at the dealer said that was just the way these work. They didn't have a whole lot to offer as far as speeding it up. I guess this will be my next project.

What I do is take the plastic Jayco keyfob that came with my 5'er. Bend it and stuff it into the top of the toggle switch. BINGO, 'automatic' toggle switch now! Like you, I use the Anderson hitch so I know I need to raise the front to 52 1/2" before I can back my truck up. So while the landing gears are coming down 'automatically' with the keyfob, I'm checking the front with my tape measure!
