Fifth wheel leveling

My 5er sets 1'' to 1 1/2 " higher in the front when attached to truck. I can't drop the hitch- I will lose my 5" clearance that I now have between the truck rails. Should I be concerned ? I have been watching the tire temperatures on the front and rear wheels of the 5er - no difference !

You should be fine. I run about the same amount nose high and have had no issues in about 6800 miles this season. Tire temps are all the same and I don't have any uneven wear either.

Your bed clearance should always be around 6" or more, but your trailer nose height should be just fine.

Like others, I think you'll be ok. If you get anal about it, you could always investigate the possibility of lowering your wheels to get additional ground clearance. Most spring rails I've seen have a number of holes to either raise or lower the trailer wheels to adjust the trailer to the tow vehicle height.

Most of these Jayco's have one more drop hole for the trailer shackles, it gives you another roughly 1.5" higher for the trailer
