Filling water tank while boondocking

While out in the forest in our new 2019 Eagle HT 25.5 REOK we discovered we cannot gravity fill the fresh water tank like our old 2013 bunk house model.

Is it true you have to turn the pump off and bleed the faucets dry to get the siphon functionality to perform properly.

My husband is ready to remove the check valve and I don't like changing something that came factory installed. TY!

Try flipping the cone screen around at the inlet. There is a check valve in that fitting, if you flip the screen around, the cone will depress the valve.

As Camper_Bob stated, on the hose connection, flip the hose washer screen over. This will depress the check valve, and allow the pump to draw water up from your bucket. You will need a short hose.

This is the same technique used to winterize your new 5ver with RV antifreeze.

Using the pump and the siphon hose on our Eagle seems a lot more convenient than if we had to pour buckets into the little opening in the past.

Been Boondocking a lot, my son has 125 gal freshwater, so I just get more from him in 5 gallon water jugs and pump them into my unit as we need them. Pretty slick.
