Fireplace outlet 2019 28.5 rsts
Hello fellow campers, I’m new to this forum thing, hope I’m doing right. Purchased a new 28.5 rsts in July. Just used the dealer installed Furion fireplace. Someone wired it wrong. Dealer said it’s Jayco, maybe a lazy worker and installed wrong. The dedicated fireplace breaker does not shut the fire place off and I can’t find the dedicated outlet for the fireplace. The fireplace is plugged into an outlet above the TV that trips the breaker to the kitchen,bath, and exterior when another high draw appliance is in use. The fire place breaker does have a wire coming from it and is hot when on and cold when shut off. Can anyone give me an idea as to where this dedicated out is.

I assume your fireplace is mounted below your TV correct? There should be an outlet behind the fireplace to the right of it. Have you removed the fireplace to check for it. I can't imagine it's plugged into an outlet "above" the TV.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!
I'm not much help on the fireplace question, as we don't have one in our TT, but the circuit you mention that is tripping, is the one that's GFCI protected. .The outside outlet(s), and inside near a water source.

Yes, I removed the fireplace, no outlet. The dealer drilled a hole and ran the plug behind the tv and into an outlet next to the tv outlet above the tv. I was going to remove the panel that would have been the back of the lower cabinet where the fireplace is now, however it is screwed and looks like it’s stapled in place. I’m kind of at a loss.

The dealer should correct the mis-wired fireplace under your warranty if it was wired wrong at the factory.

Don't know if I would talk to the dealer again without calling Jayco. Their warranty department assigns a rep to find the answer for you. And don't forget that Jayco warranty is will have assigned to it. When you call the dealer back give them the Jayco Reps name and warranty number. I have had three different service writers. Most will tell you "Don't worry we got this". To often not so (don't ask me why).
Jayco's warranty department reps are awesome...

You have an outside kitchen behind your entertainment system and fireplace, that’s why that plug behind the TV is a GFCI. Your fireplace should be hard wired to a dedicated 20A circuit. That’s why you have a 5OA option. The dealer took a short cut. My electric water heater wasn’t wired at the factory either. The dealer had to run a wire. It happens.

That would make sense. I doesn’t surprise me that the dealer took a short cut. Thank you for your help.
