Fireplace problem

Anyone experience this one. My fireplace heater today decided it would not turn off. Does not matter what the temp is set at or if it is turned off heater just continued to run. Have to turn off CB to turn off the heat. I am sure it is a circuit board problem just wondering if anyone else has had it happen?

After turning it off did you allow it to run for a while ? Could be thermal sensor not letting the fan turn off till the unit was cool. Just a guess.

Good Luck.

Could be totally unrelated, but if you've got to go down this road...i called the manufacture of the fire place of my unit (Googled the model number and found the manufacture that way), told them what was happening and they sent a new motherboard next day, no charge. I did pre-register the fire place online, the night before so they could "see it". Just ideas.

I will look into that today. Being over two years old I am sure it will not be a free bee. It worked twice again normally and than had to use circuit breaker again. Oh well at least a minor issue

Just an idea Rock........maybe if it gets pretty hot it does need to run fan until unit cools down??

Let us know what you find out.

Not the fan to cool down like the propane heater. Once heat comes on in fireplace u cannot turn it off. Does not matter if you drop temp to lowest setting or turn power off. Right now it is fine again. Gotta be FW gremlins.

Should get my CO at end of next week. Than heading back to Clearwater to get all my stuff from storage. Crazy living in my FW for 14 months, thankfully it is a nice one. Put it through about 10 years of normal use over last two years.

Mine is out of the Jayco warranty by three months. I do have an xtraride 7 year warranty. I looked at the fireplace and there is no model info anywhere u can see without taking things apart. I am gonna call Jayco and see if they have that info or will send a circuit board. Of course it is working fine today.
