I get chucking with our setup (Moryde box & CRE3000 onto a Reese 25k Elite). Had the same setup with the prior F350 dually and same result. I find it to be road surface and speed dependent, some roads there's no chucking, some it's extreme (concrete is the worst)

My rig had a severe chucking back and forth over dips or bumps to a point that I dreaded towing my FW. I use an Andersen Ultimate hitch. I finally installed a MorRyde pin box and it made a huge difference. I don't think it stopped the chucking, but it dampened it enough that I hardly notice it.

I have the Morryde pin box and the Morryde suspension, 16 inch wheels and goodyear tires and do not experience any of the chucking you are describing. From what I am reading on the responses, and weight scale check is in order for you.

I had a Curt hitch and had a problem with "chucking" I went from the Curt hitch to a B&W Champion and the "chucking" is gone. I'm pulling the exact same fifth wheel with the exact same truck on the exact same roads. I would say that getting rid of the Curt was the answer.

B&W hitches IMHO are the best........not the lightest but rock solid.

We did air shocks on our Ram 3500 in 06.Seems to have helped with that problem. Hardly ever run with more than 10lbs air!

The first year we had our Jayco Fifth wheel that we towed with a Ford 4x4 we felt the same thing. The issue was the fifth wheel was not level with the truck because the 4x4 was so high. Because the trailer was raised as high as it could go, my husband had the springs rotated to raise the trailer. It was a fantastic improvement! We live in Alaska and towed the fifth wheel thousands of miles over the terrible Alaska roads for 13 years and no problems.

My last truck had rails and a reese slider hitch . It was terrible felt like it wasn't latched right everytime I stopped or took off I had a bang from all the slack. This truck has factory 5th wheel prep and a ram ( believe it's also reese ) and it's a day and night better .

Be sure the hitch pin is at or forward(not to exceed 1.5 in) of the rear axle. If it is behind rear axle, even a little, your truck becomes a teeter totter with your rear axle as a fulcrum. Been there, done that.

Avalov, I have the same hitch and had the same "chucking" issue. Problem was that the hitch was installed without the rubber gaskets that go on top of the cross rails before you put the hitch in place they actually fit over the four spots where your pins go through they are about 1/8" thick by 1" wide by 3" long. I purchased them separately from Curt. It knocked down the loud noise and slack between the hitch and cross rails. About $6

Not that you’re looking to replace your hitch but if it really bothers you, try the Andersen Ultimate hitch. Completely eliminates chucking.

If the trailer is nose high very much at all you will get the chucking motion most of the time. The trailer needs to be pretty much level to distribute the weight of the trailer on both axles. Unequal loading of the axles also causes tire wear and increases the chance of a blowout on the tires that are carrying more weight.

It’s the Curt hitch. I had the A16, which as someone else pointed out is similar to what you have. I replaced it with a B&W. No chucking for the year and a half I’ve had that hitch.

They are referring to their signature which is the info at the bottom. Most people put what kind of truck and trailer they have at the bottom.

In my case, this wasn't true. My rig chucked pretty bad even with the Andersen Ultimate hitch. I ended up installing a Morryde pinbox and it made a huge difference. It really dampens the chucking motion to a point that it's hardly noticeable.
