It doesn't surprise me a bit

Look around these forums a bit.. there is a whole generation of people who are not sure what to do when a screw falls out of a trim piece.

We need people like this to keep the economy going !
As far as the nylon plug, the proper tool is a 6 point socket, but you can bet the ones that are struggling are probably using Channel Locks or Vise Grips.

I keep a few spare nylon plugs around too in case I mangle one removing it! Lol!

Off topic, but I saw a request from a guy today that wanted to hire someone to put a wood floor on a trailer and build some wood side panels for it. I'm sure there is a reason, but I was looking a bit cross eye at it. This was a little 4x8 trailer.

I know several people who would never tackle that kind of project.

I use a 15/16 12-pt socket on a 1/2" drive with a 4"(?) extension. Never had a problem.

I keep some of 'em too. In the bottom of a "utility" drawer where I keep some spare bulbs and other whatnot. Coming up on 4 years of ownership, and I still have the original plug installed and working. And I drain the WH after EVERY trip for about the past 2 years or more now. It's chewed up a little from the first couple times I tried to remove it with channel locks (etc.), but it still works just fine.
