Four 6V in an Eagle...will they fit?

Anyone have an Eagle fw with the batteries on the drivers side front that has four 6v batts in there? Thinking of dropping two more batts in there(currently 2 6v), but wondering if I can do it without mods. Only mod I’m really considering is removing the shelf above them as it’s not really used. Just have to figure out how to get the rivets out.

Small grinder carefully. Maybe a Dremel tool. Good luck.

Ditto, rivets are easy to remove. Grind or drill out the head of the rivet and they fall out.

You can drill the rivets out to remove the shelf.

I found out the hard way, The upper shelf will not handle the weight of 2 6v batteries, take the shelf out. I now have two on the bottom and 2 on the left of the divider. I’m planning on building a shelf on sliders to pull them out and check the water.

Please Post your finished plans.

I removed the Jayco "battery compartment" and put 4 6 volts in a battery box from Century Plastics. I heard later that people had done the same with a storage box from Lowes/Home depot for a lot less

Do you guys have pics of your setups. I checked today since I had my trailer home, and not so sure I could fit all four where they’re at now. I may do two to the side as Ghen did.

Here is a before and after, hope they come through. The dealer put two batteries in the "Jayco Battery compartment" and the second pair beside it. I just removed the battery divider and installed a battery box that would hold all 4 batteries. I have a Eagle HT but I would thing the front storage area is basically the same. Anywhere you can put 4 batteries together will work.
