Not sure when this one was built...probably before then since it is a 2015.

Hooyah, Chief.

Knowing that you have the warranty I wouldn't be concerned with the purchase. Check the outriggers and if you see a problem see if the dealer would make the repair before you leave the lot.

Perhaps do some price shopping at the online cheaper dealers and get prices on a 2017.
You'll get a 12" frame instead of the 10", you won't need to worry about the floor supports, it will have the latest version of ground control 3.0 (much better than 2.0), the option of having Goodyear tires, 500:1 slide motors.
Pretty sure the awnings are updated.
And depending on how early the 2015 is that your lookin at, if it has the brown cap it might fall into the paint fading problem (I don't know if it affected pinnacles)

My neighbor's late build 2014 Pinnacle (which is pretty much a 2015) had his Dexter rear axel break loose and the rig headed off into the other lane of the interstate.
Also within the first year he blew three of his China bomb tires too.

What sort of online dealers? I think the MSRP of a 2017 will be about $30K more....

That's some expensive piece of mind.

Did he figure out why the axle broke loose?

I swapped out the garbage TowMax's for S637's before I went anywhere with my trailer (bought used). New tires are cheaper than the damage repair.

He said two springs were broken, but maybe happened when the axel went sideways.
I just saw pictures of it. It happened around 10 hours from home.
He could see and feel something funny going on back there and when he stepped on the brakes the axel twisted sideways and swung the rig into the passing lane.
The guy who towed him off the interstate had a comparable axel at his shop and got him underway the next day.
Lucky no one got hurt.

That must have been one scary scene!!! I would have crapped in my truck. With as many RVs on the road I guess this sort of thing is bound to happen.

My dealer just told me if I still want the 2015 they will reinforce the outrigger braces prior to pick up. Gotta discuss with boss lady this evening but way to go Valley RV in Kent WA!

One of the reasons I went with the new 2015 was the price. I have a budget but paying cash...don't want to finance and I cannot really afford what they want for the 2017. Wish I could...would definitely go with the RV fridge over residential. We are hopefully retiring soon and the plan is not to have any bills.

That said....still having second thoughts. Wife loves the floorplan, as do I. But reading some bad stuff on warranty issues on this forum and the frame issues.....just not 100%.

Don't be discouraged...there are thousands of 2015's out there. My northpoint has no problems but the floor supports. Soon to be fixed.
Plus I got the 7 year warranty for 2k Canadian. Don't known why it's so overpriced in the US (3700 ?)

Pretty much any RV will have issues. For the way trailers are built they should cost half what they do.

My outriggers are OK. The are the L shape style. There are a total of 4 L shape outriggers under the fridge/stove slide side. I measured the thickness to be 5/64 ". My 5er has a build date of 6/16 label but it is registered as a 2017.

I have a 355mbqs with residential fridge. I had the same problem with mine. Jayco is aware of it and fixed it under warranty. Mine is a 2016 and i think they done a better job on the 2017 to fix the problem.

I have the L bracket two. It took over 3k towing miles but it bent some. My hidden one next two my center jack bent down an inch. I did not even know I had one there since it is under a fixed cowling and u have to look up to it with a flashlight by the jack.

Watch that Kitchen slide for issues. Had the same. Floor was just slightly sloped to the outside after mine bent. Now the slide binds coming back in. Can't move the load "up" the hill. Had it at the dealer. Motor and track had to be replaced. Worked for 1 trip, now doing it again.
Just keep a watch.before warranty is out.

Old thread but I thought I would update the status on my Eagle 321RSTS. Shortly after buying mine they added 1 of the double outriggers which helped. My floor started dropping again even though none of the other outriggers had bent. I took pics and when I took mine in for final warranty work before the 2 years was up, I asked them to add some more outriggers. They showed the pics to Jayco and agreed to add 2 more so now I have a total of 3 doubled outriggers. Hopefully all will be well now.

Has anyone noticed, since they went with the slim rack on big slides starting in 2017 there have been no posted problems.

Glad this thread came back up.
Had my bent supports “fixed” way back at the beginning of this thread... now the Schwintek is getting replaced because of the EXACT same thing as Rsday said.
Jayco will take no responsibility.
